Chicago Trip

We were able to stop at Shedd Aquarium on the way back home from a family reunion. The girls were a little tired from the busy weekend, but enjoyed seeing all of the animals. Randy and I are blessed that we could provide them with these experiences.

Bike rides.

Corn on the cob...YUM.

This summer has been full of fun at the Clark home. We have spent a lot of time outside, reading books, dancing, learning how to potty in the potty chair (Lilly), gone on a few trips, and just enjoyed times sitting and cuddling with each other. Here are a few pictures from our adventures so far. Enjoy.

A Grateful Mother

Tomorrow is mother's day -- a day where moms are celebrated and recognized for all that they have done. I want to thank my mother for all that she has done for me. She has loved unconditionally, taught me a wealth of knowledge, graced me with patience, showered me with hope, and encouraged me to reach for all of my dreams. I'm the mother I am today because of you...Thanks Mom!

I also am taking time today to reflect on being a mom. I follow Mary Beth Chapman's blog...Her entries over the past year and a half have brought tears to my eyes and encouraged me so. I've never met her, but yet feel a deep connection to her. My heart aches for her today as she celebrates Mother's Day knowing that one of her children isn't present with her. I pray she finds peace in knowing her daughter is with the most exceptional parent there could ever be...If you have a chance to follow some of her blog, I would encourage you to do so -- Her journey has been one of strength, fear, and an amazing hope. I love you, Lillian and Zoe -- thanks for all of the joy you bring to my life. I love being your mom!
