Winter 2009 Fun

Winter 2009 has been very cold and snowy. It's been hard staying inside when we were used to playing outside and going for walks daily. Randy took Lillian outside for just a minute when it warmed up outside. She was completely covered from head to toe with her "snow gear" and found it very hard to walk. Randy showed her the snow, she touched it and seemed very confused with how cold it was (she has some good facial expressions, much like her mother!). Then, she lost her balance and fell -- which she didn't like at all!

Lillian has spent a lot of time reading her books. She's quite a good "reader" too. This picture captures her reading to Randy one evening.

This was spaghetti night. Lillian really went to town on her dinner. She loves spaghetti and I think it showed! As soon as she was done, we headed right for the bath tub!

Lillian at her finest:)

Lillian LOVES her bath. She gets very excited when we start filling the tub and loves to "feel the water" as it fills the tub. At every bath, she splashes and plays with all of her bath toys. In the top pictures she was "scooping up the bubbles" with her face.

Lillian's 11 month picture. We can't believe she's almost a year already!

Playing Gamma and Grandpa's piano. She thinks this is the best thing ever...maybe we'll have to get one?!

Lillian

As of late, Lillian has this thing with opening cabinets and taking EVERYTHING out. She thinks it's the greatest thing in the world. She really loves the tupperware cabinet and is always so proud of her accomplishments. We're working on picking it up after we've taken everything out. Randy and I are definitely busy trying to 'keep up with Lillian' ;)

Peek-A-Boo

Lillian playing Peek-A-Boo with Randy. We think this is a cute picture. What do you think? Notice she's holding her blue cup. This is one of her all-time favorite toys. She has always liked "round and blue". We don't know why, but think it's pretty cute!

Have you heard????

A big announcement was made to the Briski/Clark families over the holidays.

The announcement is...Lillian is going to be a big sister in July! We found out we were expecting Baby Clark #2 in November and wanted to announce it as a Christmas gift to family. Everyone was very excited and surprised!

Lillian gave the grandparents an ornament of her hand. On the inside, we wrote "I wanted to share that I'm going to be a big sister in July!" They weren't really sure what to think.

Randy and I also gave everyone a card that said: "At this holiday season...we wanted to share that...pink or blue, we wish we knew...but either way, we have news for you! Get your calendar and mark the date, there is a reason to celebrate. Randy and Melissa are elated to announce that Lillian will be a big sister in July."

The Grandmas cried, hugs were exchanged, and celebrating began. Christmas will be very exciting next year!!!

Randy's brother and his wife, Staci, are also expecting a baby in August. We made this frame together to give to Randy's parents. Edie and Robert were a little surprised they weren't a part of the gift until they heard what the gift was -- and then they were happy!!

Christmas with the Clarks

Celebrating Christmas with the Clark Family was wonderful! We all met at Aunt Edie and Uncle Patrick's house to enjoy the holiday together. It was so nice to spend time with family and eat a really yummy meal. Lillian, once again, was able to eat quite the Christmas dinner! A big announcement was made to everyone too -- Check the next post for the details! :)

Aunt Staci and Uncle Robert with Lillian.

Cousins are GREAT! Katie read Lillian many stories (she's a great reader!) and Maddie helped Lillian with her new toys. The girls played very well together and loved having time with each other.

Family Picture

Every year at Christmas, when the "Briski" bunch gets together, a family picture is taken. This year, it was a little more difficult to "squeeze" everyone into the frame. ;)
